Just finished a fun day of snowmobile travel in Yellowstone. We started the day in Jackson and traveled by lake yellowstone and the grand canyon of the yellowstone. Got several good wildlife photos that I hope you enjoy. The most exciting event besides Sandi's zipper malfunction was the buffalo chase. The photo you see of the buffalo was taken just before he came on the road and started chasing our group. The McQuigg sled was in the rear but soon took first place in the line of 7 sleds. One couple got cut off for several minutes but bravely got past the buffalo. The buffalo (which can run as fast as 35 mph) chased the group for about 1/4 miles. Our brave guide, Tom, did go to help rescue Kenny and Sherry and found himself chased for quite a distance. What fun! Tomorrow we head to Larmar Valley looking for wolves. West Yellowstone will be our destination tomorrow night! Let me know if you enjoy the photos!

Love the pictures. Looks like such a fun trip! Love and miss you, Megan
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Clark. My husband and I have Yellowstone in the Winter on our "Bucket List". Thanks for confirming to us that it will be "worth it"!
ReplyDeleteThis Buffalo incident probably was not that funny at the time, but it sounds hallarious
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the pics and all the vivid descriptions. We can't wait to try it for ourselves after reading about your adventures.
ReplyDeleteThe buffalo chase was very frightening at the time but a great conversation item for the rest of the trip. Kenny even received a buffalo tshirt to remember the chase.
